Before Flight Interview & Launch Reflection:
Our "pencil" rocket went about 10 feet in the air then arched back to the ground. I think it went pretty well for our first build, my partner Andrea and I had no experience what so ever with building a wooden rocket. When we first started we had no idea what the exterior of our rocket should have looked like, and I think we did a nice job piecing it together.
Although the fins on my rocket were really small, and I'm sure that effected the flight in some way. So I'm going to try to apply proper fins next time around. Also I think our model was too wide, so I'm considering slimming it down when I get the chance. Our rocket weighed about 16 grams.

Balsa Rocket Reflection:
How did you feel on the first day of school compared to how you feel today? What things have contributed to any changes in the way you feel?
I feel a lot more familiar with how the school works, which is comforting because at first I had no idea what I was doing.
If you could build a third Balsa rocket, what would you do differently and why?
I would try to make it both top heavy and bottom heavy, the problem with both of my rockets is that they had uneven weight distributed throughout them. I want to use a bigger motor besides the mini motor which is the only one I have ever used. So I think it would be a good thing to experiment with the huge ones.
After watching some other students’ films, what themes or common traits have you noticed?
People put their videos in similar order to mine, almost everyone put in music like I did.
Is there something you saw in someone else’s film, that you wish you would have done in yours? What was it?
Maybe put some voice overs in, in our video we had none and someone mentioned we should have added some.
Do you see value in being able to create a film about your work? Why or why not?
Yes, it’s actually really awesome to be able to watch your progress and how you grew throughout a project. I can’t wait to continue this throughout this year!
What are a few things you plan to do differently on your next film and why?
I want to get more footage so I can show even more of our progress.
