Film Reflection:
Our movie is about an Evil space princess named Ivy who left her planet name Fornax to start a new colony on planet Cygnus. Once she arrives she mistakes the Cygnan people as Humans and believes that she has landed on plant Earth. She's a sassy space girl and she's ready to have fun. But her reckless attitude might end up getting her in trouble. Later in the movie she attempts to launch her rocket to return back to her own planet after an unfortunate turn of events with the towns people in the city she landed in. It malfunctions sporadically as she is flying away. Her rocket crashes back on Earth but did she die during the crash landing? The characters in the film are the Space Princess, the Mayor, and various townspeople included in the shots. The princess is voiced by yours truly, the towns people are all played by Eva, and the mayor is played by Valerie.
Our launch and recovery was a complete success. I am so happy with the way everything went and grateful that it went so smoothly. The rocket went very high up in the sky. In the launch video, you notice that there is a lot of distance from the ground before the parachute comes out and starts decelerating coming back to the ground. Our parachute came out perfectly and our rocket came back intact. It was still a hard landing but our parachute provided enough decrease in speed to land it safely.
I would like to be given all of the tools at the beginning of the project so that I can work at my own pace and make my own schedule. A lot of times I had to wait for a teacher to help or give me the tools needed to complete a part of the rocket. I'd like to rely on myself a little bit more. We are grown students and mature enough to make rockets on our own if we are just given the tools.
I am proud of what I contributed to the group, I took a leadership role and made the body tube, fins, and nosecone with team-effort. I was always on top of things and making sure we were meeting deadlines. Everyone in my group did great during the project and I am proud of our final product.
